Zines are low-budget (but AWESOME) forms of printed self-expression on any topic. Before anyone even imagined the internet, zines were kind of like the OG social media. Because they’re so simple and cheap to create, they have often given a voice to fringe movements and counter cultures.

Now that we have UNLIMITED PLATFORMS on which to share our unsolicited opinions with the world—podcasts, instagram, whatever Elon Musk is calling Twitter now—you could surmise that zines are a thing of the past. But NOT SO! there are still more than a few of us zinesters out there, keeping the craft alive and evolving in the digital age.
